Alessia Campolmi is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Verona since 2015. She previously held positions at the University of Glasgow (Senior Lecturer), Central European University (Associate/Assistant Professor), and was a Senior Researcher at the Hungarian National Bank. She has also been a Visiting Fellow and Fernand Braudel Fellow at the European University Institute of Florence. She graduated in Economics from the University of Florence (2001) and earned her PhD in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, 2008).
Her research focuses on labor markets in closed/open economies and international trade policies. Key areas include monetary policy impacts on labor markets, trade policy design, and open economy macroeconomics using DSGE models. She teaches macroeconomics, monetary economics, and advanced economics courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
She is affiliated with research labs like VELE (Verona Experimental Lab in Economics) and participates in committees such as the Research Advisory Board (RAB) and the Commissione Internazionalizzazione. Her work spans topics including inflation targeting, carbon border adjustments, and trade agreement design.
