Claudio Marsilio is an Associate Professor of Economic History at the University of Verona. He holds a Ph.D. in Economic and Social History from Bocconi University and a degree in History from the University of Genoa. His research focuses on financial operators in early modern Europe, international monetary systems, and the history of banking institutions like the Banco di San Giorgio (Genoa) and the Wisselbank (Amsterdam). He has held positions at the Universidade de Lisboa (2017–2021) and as a visiting professor at Pablo de Olavide University (2007–2010).
