Alessandro Sorrenti

Alessandro Sorrenti is an Assistant Professor (Profesor Lector) in the Department of Organic Chemistry at Universitat de Barcelona (UB). He holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' (2008) and has held postdoctoral positions at institutions including the Universitat de Barcelona, ETH-Zürich, and Strasbourg. His research focuses on supramolecular chemistry, non-equilibrium systems, and microfluidic technologies, particularly in self-assembled materials and dissipative systems. He leads the ChemInFlow group, advancing flow-based synthesis and non-equilibrium material design.

Education: PhD in Chemistry (2008, Rome 'La Sapienza'), followed by postdoctoral training in Barcelona, Strasbourg (Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship), and ETH-Zürich. Joined UB in 2020 after Dr. Puigmartí-Luis' ICREA Professor appointment.
