Dr. Alessandro Romito is a Senior Lecturer in Condensed Matter Theory at Lancaster University's Department of Physics. His research focuses on quantum many-body effects and their implications for quantum information processing, particularly exploring weak quantum measurements, topological phases of matter, and entanglement dynamics in nanoscale systems.
Recent publications highlight his work on measurement-induced phase transitions, quantum chaos in dissipative systems, and topological heat pumping. His research group includes PhD students Subhajyoti Bid, Gobinda Chakraborty, Clio Johnson, and Max Tymczyszyn.
