Alessandro Pedrini is an Assistant Professor at the University of Parma, affiliated with the Department of Chemical Sciences, Life and Environmental Sustainability. He holds a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Parma (2015) and has conducted research at ICIQ and MIT.

Research Interests focus on functional materials using supramolecular chemistry, molecular recognition, and self-assembly. His work explores macrocyclic receptors, non-covalent interactions in polymers, and hierarchical porous matrices for environmental applications like gas separation and water treatment. Recent projects involve mechanochemically synthesized MOFs for PFAS adsorption and dynamic networks for 3D-printed materials.
Teaching Appointments include courses on Functional Materials (second-cycle degree) and Polymer Science (first-cycle degree) at the University of Parma since 2018/2019. He also serves as a tutor for Materials Science and Technology.
