Alessandro Minichilli serves as Full Professor in the Management & Technology Department at Bocconi University, holding key leadership roles including Associate Dean for Faculty at SDA Bocconi, Director of the Corporate Governance Lab, and co-Director of the eSG Lab (excellence in Sustainability and Governance for SMEs). He also directs board induction initiatives for listed companies and serves as scientific coordinator for the SDA Bocconi - Elite program.
His research centers on corporate governance systems design during transition processes, with specialized expertise in large listed companies' governance structures and family business succession planning. Minichilli bridges academic rigor with practical application through his work as educator and advisor to family firms and business families.
Recent publications reveal consistent focus on governance-performance linkages in non-listed entities, socioemotional wealth dynamics in family SMEs, and CEO selection mechanisms. His work demonstrates increasing interdisciplinary integration between strategic management, behavioral finance, and institutional theory within corporate governance frameworks.
His accolades include 7 Excellence in Research Awards from Bocconi University (2008-2019), multiple Best Reviewer Awards from Strategic Management Journal and Family Business Review, and numerous Best Paper recognitions from international conferences including AoM and EURAM.
