معرفی
Alessandro Martini is a Full Professor of Otorhinolaryngology at Padova University School of Medicine. He has previously served as Chief of ENT at Padova Hospital and Director of the University Neuroscience Department and Bioacoustic Laboratory at the University of Padova.
- Research Focus: Genetic causes of hearing loss, ear malformations, cochlear implants, and regenerative therapies.
- Leadership: Principal Investigator for major Italian and European projects (HEAR, GenDeaf, RegenEar).
Research Areas:
His work spans molecular and cellular neuroscience of the inner ear, particularly studying ototoxic damage mechanisms and regenerative medicine. The lab investigates hair cell and neuronal population protection, and collaborates on stem cell engineering for auditory therapies.
Collaborations:
The Bioacoustic Laboratory collaborates with international groups, including Dr. M. Rivolta at the University of Sheffield, focusing on tissue neurosensorial progenitor cell studies and stem cell engineering.
