Alessandra Valentini

Alessandra Valentini is a Researcher (RTD-b) at the Department of Humanities, Ca' Foscari University of Venice. She teaches courses related to Roman History and has been affiliated with the university since 2003, including roles as teaching assistant, research fellow, and tenured professor (2017-2023) at the E. Majorana - E. Corner High School in Mirano.

Her research focuses on gender studies and female political participation in Roman society, with notable projects on Agrippina the Elder, Octavia Minor, and the application of digital humanities to ancient history. She has led research initiatives funded by MUR, VeDPH, and Ca' Foscari University, including the SPIN 2023 project WORDS.

She has participated in editorial boards such as the Erga-Logoi Journal and maintains expertise in prosopography of Romanization, particularly the Venetorum angulus region.
