Alessandra De Lorenzi is a University Researcher at the Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems, Ca' Foscari University of Venice. She holds a Physics degree and a Diploma in Physics of Condensed Matter from the University of Padova. She has served as a scientific associate at the Legnaro National Laboratories (2012–2015) and is an auditor for MIUR research evaluations since 2013. She is part of the Society for Applied Spectroscopy (2016–present) and the scientific board of Scienze e Ricerche (2015–present).
- Research Focus: Spectroscopic techniques (DRIFTS, IBIL), solid-state analysis of minerals, environmental materials, and cultural heritage preservation.
- Key Projects: Characterization of Berici Hills soft stones, tracing ancient Roman building materials via spectral analysis, and studies on nutraceuticals and drug delivery systems.
- Teaching: Leads courses in Physical Chemistry (modules 1 and laboratory) and Spectroscopic Methods for Materials Science since 2019.
- Lab Roles: Laboratory Supervisor and Head of Teaching/Research Activities in the Epsilon Building labs (rooms 214 & 208).
Grants: Participated in MIUR-funded PEMFC structural analysis (2010–2012) and the NANOSALUS project on therapeutic nanomaterials (2023–2026).
