Alena Janda Markmann

Alena Janda Markmann, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She is a clinician-scientist with dual expertise in clinical medicine and virology research.

Her educational background includes undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester, medical degree and PhD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, residency training at The Mount Sinai Hospital, and fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
