Her research focuses on the economic aspects of wood product markets, with particular expertise in wood trade economics, marketing strategies for wood products, and the role of wood biomass in sustainable energy systems. Her work bridges traditional forestry economics with contemporary sustainability challenges, particularly examining how wood pellet exports can drive production development while reducing carbon emissions through fossil fuel substitution.
Analysis of her publications reveals a consistent focus on practical applications of forestry economics, with her two major works examining household wood fuel consumption patterns in Bosnia and Herzegovina (2017) and the economic impact of wood pellet exports in Serbia (2016). These studies demonstrate her expertise in connecting wood product markets with broader environmental sustainability goals.
Lazarevic began her academic career as a demonstrator in the 2015/2016 school year while pursuing her master's degree, and has maintained continuous teaching engagement since her formal appointment in 2016. Her office is located in room 88 at the Faculty of Forestry, where she holds consultations on Mondays from 12-2 PM.
