Aleksandra Kroemeke

Aleksandra Kroemeke is a Professor of Health Psychology at SWPS University in Warsaw, Poland. She serves as Head of the Department of Health Psychology and directs the Health & Coping Research Group at the Institute of Psychology. Her research focuses on stress coping mechanisms in chronic illness contexts, particularly in patient-partner dyads, and the neuropsychological impacts of physical activity in aging populations.

She leads projects funded by the National Science Centre, including studies on cancer-related meaning restoration and social support dynamics. Notable awards include the Rector’s Award for Research (2017) and multiple Dean’s Awards. Kroemeke teaches health psychology and coordinates courses on clinical interventions for individuals with somatic illnesses.

Her work bridges clinical practice and academia, emphasizing longitudinal analysis of coping trajectories and interpersonal health dynamics. Current projects explore psychological flexibility in cancer patients and temporal dynamics of social support provision.
