Dr. Aleksandar Urošević is a Principal Research Fellow at the Department of Evolutionary Biology within the Institute for Biological Research 'Siniša Stanković' - National Institute of the Republic of Serbia, affiliated with the Faculty of Biology at the University of Belgrade. He holds a Doctorate (2012) and Master's/Bachelor's (2007) in Biology from the University of Belgrade.
- Research focuses on evolutionary morphology of vertebrate skeletons (amphibians, reptiles, Pleistocene herbivores)
- Key contributions to faunistics, biodiversity mapping, and conservation biology of Serbian amphibians/reptiles
- Active participant in national research projects and international collaborations
- Co-authored chapters in Red Books of Fauna of Serbia I and II
His methodological innovations advanced evolutionary morphology studies while fieldwork improved understanding of reptile/amphibian biogeography. He has taught Morphometrics and Special Course of Faunistics at the Faculty of Biology and co-mentored two doctoral theses.
