Aleksandar Shopov is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at Binghamton University. His research focuses on early modern Ottoman history, environmental history, and the history of science and technology. He has held prestigious fellowships at institutions including the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, Rachel Carson Center, and Dumbarton Oaks.
