- MA in Philosophy, University of Michigan (2020)
- PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures, University of Michigan (2024)
Stark's research explores two distinct domains: Physical Cosmology and Latin American Philosophy. In astrophysics, he develops theoretical observables to study modifications to general relativity through galaxy cluster dynamics. In the humanities, he examines intersections between Indigenous studies, Latin American philosophy, and the history of science.
His publications span journals like The Astrophysical Journal, Deleuze and Guattari Studies, and Consecutio Rerum. His work proposes novel cosmological probes using galaxy cluster phase spaces and theorizes anomalous alliances between Spinoza and abolitionist ethics.
- Rackham Predoctoral Fellowship (2024)
- Herbert E. Boynton Dissertation Fellowship (2023)
- National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship (2015-2017)
Stark teaches courses including Science and Culture in Latin America and Class Struggle in México, reflecting his interdisciplinary approach to science, philosophy, and political theory.
