Alejandro I. Paz is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Toronto. His work bridges linguistic anthropology and political science, focusing on language's role in globalization, transnationalism, and citizenship, particularly among Latino labor migrants in Israel and the Middle East. He holds a joint PhD in Anthropology and Linguistics from the University of Chicago (2010).
