Aldonio Fernandes Ferreira is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting at Monash University. His research focuses on performance management, management control systems, strategic management accounting, and sustainability in not-for-profit organizations. He holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University and a Licenciatura in Business and Economics from the University of Porto.
Key research interests include the behavioral implications of performance systems, sustainability accounting, and organizational strategy. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to environmental protection and responsible consumption.
Recent publications emphasize sustainability reporting practices, NGO performance management, and the role of big data in supply chain management. He has received multiple teaching commendations (2007, 2009, 2015, 2018) and was highly commended for research in Qualitative Research in Accounting and Management (2010).
