Dr. Alberto Mingardi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History of Political Thought at IULM University of Milan. He serves as Director General of the free-market think tank Istituto Bruno Leoni and is an Adjunct Scholar at the Cato Institute in Washington DC.
- PhD in Political Science from the University of Pavia
His research focuses on 19th-century classical liberalism, with particular emphasis on thinkers like Thomas Hodgskin, Herbert Spencer, and Vilfredo Pareto. He explores intersections between political theory, economic principles, and social justice frameworks.
Recent publications reflect themes in libertarian philosophy, elite theory, and critical editions of foundational liberal texts. His work spans political economy, sociological theory, and historical analysis of economic systems.
As Director General of Istituto Bruno Leoni, he leads efforts in promoting market-oriented policy analysis. He also contributes to educational initiatives through books and translations aimed at broadening understanding of liberal thought.
