Dr. Alberto Longo is a Professor and Interim Deputy Head of the School of Biological Sciences at Queen's University Belfast. He holds a PhD and BSc in Economics from the University of Ca' Foscari in Venice, Italy. His research focuses on environmental, energy, health, and food economics, with a particular emphasis on cost-benefit analysis, non-market valuation, and behavioral nudges to drive sustainable behavior change. He has advised organizations such as the World Bank and the European Commission on policy design and valuation methodologies.
