Albert J. Beer

Albert J. Beer is an Assistant Professor and holder of The Michael J. Kevaney / XL Chair at St. John's University's School of Risk Management and Actuarial Science within the Peter J. Tobin College of Business. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in actuarial science and risk management. Previously, he served as President of Munich Re America’s Strategic Business Units, Executive Vice President of American Re Corporation, and held leadership roles in the actuarial and insurance sectors.

• Professional Affiliations: Board member of multiple insurance firms, Trustee Emeritus of The Actuarial Foundation, and former Chairman of the Actuarial Standards Board.
