معرفی
Dr Albert Henry is an Honorary Research Fellow at the Institute of Cardiovascular Science and a Research Associate at the UCL Institute of Health Informatics / Health Data Research UK. A former clinician (general practitioner) and data scientist, he applies computational approaches to elucidate causal biology and inform therapeutic development using genomics, molecular traits, and deep phenotype datasets. He co-leads the UCL Code Club, promoting coding best practices in research.
- Education: BHF Cardiovascular Biomedicine PhD student at UCL
Research Interests span genomics, computational biology, and biostatistics to dissect cardiovascular disease mechanisms. His work focuses on genome-wide association studies (GWAS), proteogenomics, and Mendelian randomization to identify therapeutic targets and understand disease etiology.
Publications highlight trends in heart failure subtypes, dilated cardiomyopathy, myocardial resilience, and cardiotoxicity. Key methodologies include multi-ancestry GWAS, proteomics, and population biobank analyses.
Additional Contributions include co-leading the UCL Code Club and integrating clinical experience with data science. His affiliations with UCL span multiple institutes, reflecting interdisciplinary research.
