Albert Gabriel Nigrin

Albert Gabriel Nigrin serves as a Lecturer in Cinema Studies within the School of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, teaching courses for the American Studies and English Departments. He concurrently holds the position of Executive Director for the Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center, Inc., overseeing multiple film festivals including the New Jersey Film Festival and United States Super 8mm Film + Digital Video Festival.

His educational background includes an M.F.A. in Visual Arts/Film and Video from Rutgers University. Nigrin's research and artistic practice centers on experimental film techniques, documentary methodologies, and avant-garde traditions within American cinema, with specialized focus on cult film phenomena and directorial analysis of figures like David Lynch.

His notable achievements include:
