Dr. Alba Carmona is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies, Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures, University of Leeds. She works on the EXODUS project, focusing on the legacy of Spanish Golden Age drama in Republican exile (1939–1975). Her research integrates Digital Humanities, Theatre Studies, and Film Studies to explore the modern reception of early modern Spanish theatre.

Her recent publications span topics including the influence of Soviet television on Spanish film, the role of women in Republican exile theatre, and the transnational dissemination of Golden Age drama. She has published in top journals like Bulletin of Hispanic Studies, Hispanic Research Journal, and Modern Language Review.
