Alawya Alawami

Dr. Alawya Alawami is an Associate Professor of Computer Engineering Technology at Pennsylvania Western University and a visiting lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh School of Computing and Information Science. She holds a PhD in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Security+ certification. Her expertise spans cybersecurity, data analytics, and NLP for low-resource languages. She actively promotes diversity in STEM through initiatives like NCWIT and serves as a distinguished judge/co-chair at major STEM events (ISEF, Science Talent Search, etc.).
