معرفی
Professor Alan Robins is a Professor of Environmental Fluid Mechanics at the University of Surrey's School of Mechanical Engineering Sciences, affiliated with the Environmental Flow (EnFlo) Laboratory. His research focuses on turbulent flow, dispersion phenomena, and their applications to environmental aerodynamics and urban air pollution. He holds advanced qualifications including BSc, PhD, and multiple professional certifications (ACGI, CSci, C.Math, MIMA, FRMetS, FRSA).
His research interests include experimental and mathematical modeling of turbulent flows, wind tunnel methods for simulating atmospheric flow, and wind power studies. A key project, the FUTURE initiative, investigates the fluid dynamics of urban tall-building clusters to enhance resilience in built environments. Recent work explores turbulent characteristics in building wakes and boundary layer responses to surface roughness changes.
Publications span topics from urban intersection pollutant dispersion to wind energy dynamics. His expertise is reflected in contributions to environmental fluid mechanics, urban climate studies, and sustainable engineering solutions.
