Alan Hultberg is an Associate Professor of New Testament and Director of the Master of Arts program at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University. He holds a Ph.D. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, an M.Div. from Talbot, and a B.A. from UC San Diego.
His research focuses on the Apocalypse, New Testament use of the Old Testament, and New Testament theology. He emphasizes biblical discipleship and has taught at elementary, college, and seminary levels. Hultberg has contributed to the Apologetics Study Bible (Matthew-Mark-Luke commentary) and published critical reviews in New Testament studies. He presented at Evangelical Theological Society conferences and co-authored works on openness theology.
Affiliations include the Society of Biblical Literature and the Institute for Biblical Research. His expertise includes biblical exposition, apocalyptic studies, and theological interpretation. He balances academic rigor with pastoral experience through church leadership roles in California and Illinois.
