Alan Davoust is a Professor at the University of Quebec in Outaouais (UQO) since December 2018. He holds a Ph.D. from Carleton University (2015), specializing in Decentralized Social Data Sharing, and has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Edinburgh (2016–2018) and Carleton University (2016). His academic focus spans distributed systems, multi-agent systems, and social machines, with a strong emphasis on ethical interactions and decentralized collaboration.

Teaching responsibilities include introductory programming courses in Java and courses on distributed artificial intelligence, focusing on multi-agent systems and social choice theory. He actively collaborates with researchers globally and mentors students in these areas.
