Alan Castle

Alan Castle is a Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences within the Faculty of Science at Brock University. His research focuses on fungal interactions, including parasitism, signaling, and genetic control mechanisms in species such as Trichoderma harzianum and Agaricus bisporus. He collaborates with researchers from the University of Toronto, University of Guelph, and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada on topics ranging from waterborne pathogen detection to biocontrol of plant diseases.

His research interests lie at the intersection of fungal biology, molecular mycology, and agricultural pathology.
