Alan Cafruny is the Henry Platt Bristol Professor of International Relations at Hamilton College. He is a renowned scholar in international political economy, European politics, and U.S. foreign policy, with a focus on the European Union and transatlantic relations.

His research explores the intersection of globalization, economic policy, and geopolitical strategy, particularly in the context of European integration and U.S. hegemony. Recent work addresses the political economy of pandemics and global financial crises.
