Alain Fischer is a Professor of Pediatric Immunology at Paris Descartes University, with a long-standing affiliation at Necker Hospital. He currently directs the research institute on genetic diseases (Imagine) and the INSERM Unit 768. His career spans roles as Director of the Pediatric Immunology Department at Hospital Necker, Group Leader at INSERM Unit 132, and leadership in various national and international scientific advisory boards.
Research areas include genetic diseases of the immune system, lymphocyte differentiation, gene therapy, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. His work bridges immunology, genetics, and rare diseases.
