Alaeddin Abukabda

Alaeddin Abukabda serves as an Assistant Professor of Physiology in the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), a position he assumed in April 2019. He holds a DMD from Al Fateh Dental College (2007), a Master's in Molecular Biology from Clarion University (2011), and a Ph.D. in Cellular and Integrative Physiology from West Virginia University (2018), along with a Certification in Biostatistics.

His research expertise spans immunology, toxicology, cardiovascular physiology, molecular biology, and cellular physiology. Dr. Abukabda has published extensively in these fields and has contributed as a reviewer for multiple academic journals.

Dr. Abukabda's research has been supported through involvement in NIH and NSF grants, as well as seed grants. He previously held a postdoctoral research associate position at the University of Pittsburgh's Vascular Medicine Institute in 2018.
