Al-hassan Adam is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Greenwich's Faculty of Business, affiliated with the Public Services International Research Unit (PSIRU). His work focuses on public service financing, particularly private equity and venture capital, alongside institutional theory, social capital, and power dynamics in state-private-enterprise-society interactions. He employs mixed-method research approaches.
He is currently preparing to defend his doctoral thesis, 'Drivers and Approaches of Private Equity Investment in Global Healthcare Systems,' scheduled for May 2025. Prior to joining PSIRU, he worked in the development sector in England and Ghana and consulted for organizations like the Global Economic Governance Programme at the University of Oxford.
Al-hassan has presented at numerous conferences and professional forums, emphasizing his dual role as an academic and development expert. His contributions to PSIRU include co-authoring reports on public service financing since 2021.
