Al Aly

Al Aly is a Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) and a world-renowned expert in body contouring after massive weight loss. He is board-certified in Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Aly pioneered techniques such as the Iowa Belt Lipectomy and has trained thousands of surgeons globally. His research focuses on complex rhinoplasty, post-bariatric surgical innovations, and oncological outcomes in urothelial carcinomas. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal Open Forum and received the 2008 Lockwood Award for Excellence in Body Contouring.

His surgical expertise includes upper/lower body lifts, abdominoplasty, and ethnic rhinoplasty. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles and textbooks, with recent research emphasizing machine learning applications in cancer diagnosis and the efficacy of adjuvant therapies.
