Akira Iguchi is a researcher at the University of Ryukyu in Okinawa, Japan. He completed his PhD at James Cook University under the supervision of David Miller at the Comparative Genomics Centre, focusing on the speciation of marine animals and the fertilization mechanism of Genus Acropora.
