Akash J. Patel

Dr. Akash J. Patel is a Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine, where he leads a research laboratory focused on the molecular and genetic basis of brain tumors. He also holds secondary appointments as Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery and serves as Residency Program Director for Neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine.

His research leverages precision medicine and genomic technologies to classify meningiomas and identify therapeutic targets, particularly for aggressive tumors.
