Dr. Aislinn White is a Lecturer in Art and Creative Practice at the Division of Arts and Media within the School of Business and Creative Industries. Her work bridges art, urbanism, and socially engaged curating, focusing on dialogical practices that challenge socio-spatial structures. She leads community-driven projects and has collaborated with institutions like Documenta, Tate Modern, and the Venice Biennale. Aislinn holds a PhD from the Belfast School of Art (Ulster University), an MA from the National College of Art and Design, and a BA from Falmouth College of Art.
Her research explores curatorial strategies in urban contexts, emphasizing co-authorship with marginalized communities. Recent projects include investigations into community archives and socially engaged curating in Glasgow. She has previously taught at University of the Arts London, Central Saint Martins, and Richmond University, and served as a Research Associate in Film and Video Art at the University of Westminster. Aislinn’s activities span academic conferences, workshops, and visiting lectures globally, including upcoming engagements at HdM Stuttgart in 2025.
