Ailsa Birkett

Dr. Ailsa Birkett is a Lecturer at Cranfield School of Management, where she joined the faculty after serving as a member of the Associate Faculty for 5 years. With over 20 years of consulting experience, she specializes in leadership development, team development, organizational change, and coaching programs, working with global clients such as Centrica, BAE Systems, QatarEnergy, and the BBC.

• Education: PhD in Physics (University of Durham), MBA (University of Newcastle upon Tyne), BSc (Joint Hons) in Physics and Geophysics (University of Newcastle upon Tyne), PGCE in Physics and PE (University of Newcastle upon Tyne).
• Qualifications: CMI Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring, BPS Level A and B test administration certifications (16PF, MBTI), Roche Martin Emotional Capital Report feedback and coaching, EIP Profiling (Talogy), and Hogan Suite.

Her research interests align with her consulting practice, focusing on leadership and organizational dynamics, executive coaching, and blended learning platforms. She has designed and delivered programs across diverse industries, including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, and finance.

Professional Experience: Prior to Cranfield, she held leadership roles in Eli Lilly and Company, specializing in training and talent development. She also worked with NHS/Academic collaborations and electronic gaming sectors.
