Aileen C. Dever is a tenured Professor of Spanish in the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at Quinnipiac University's College of Arts & Sciences. With a Ph.D. in Spanish and over two decades of academic experience, she combines literary scholarship with administrative leadership as Chair of Modern Languages.

Her research focuses on Spanish literature, particularly Rosalía de Castro, Ana María Matute, and Julián Gayarre, with strong emphasis on Galician culture, Francoist Spain, and religious symbolism. Publications include bilingual editions and literary analyses of 19th-21st century Iberian works.
Recent scholarship trends show consistent engagement with translation studies and historical context analysis, particularly examining Spain's post-Civil War period. Notable collaborative works include translations with family members, highlighting her commitment to cross-cultural preservation.
