Aida A. Hozic is an Associate Professor of International Relations and Associate Chair of the Department of Political Science at the University of Florida, affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Her research bridges political economy, cultural studies, and international security, focusing on crime and state dynamics in Southeastern Europe, visual representations of race, and global arts markets. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia (1997) and has been recognized with prestigious awards, including Fulbright Fellowships, MacArthur Foundation grants, and teaching honors like the UF Student Government’s Dr. Julie A. Sina Award (2011).
