Dr. Ahmet Ozkul is an Associate Professor in the Economics and Business Analytics Department at Pompea College of Business, University of New Haven. With a Ph.D. in Management from Clemson University and extensive experience in academia, Dr. Ozkul has dedicated his research to understanding the complexities of supply chain management, particularly focusing on the bullwhip effect and commodity bundling in manufacturing supply chains.
His work has shown that negative implications of the bullwhip effect can be reduced when production planning parameters of firms are coordinated. He has also investigated supply chains with bundled end products, finding that the bullwhip effect may still exist and require adjustment of production planning parameters for reduction. Dr. Ozkul has contributed to enhancing student learning in the classroom through technology, including developing software to automate exam generation and creating an Excel-based simulation game for production planning.
