Ahmed Shehata is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of New Brunswick (UNB), Fredericton campus. He holds the Canada Research Chair in Rehabilitation Engineering and serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alberta.
Research Interests: Dr. Shehata's work focuses on rehabilitation systems and robotics, human-machine interaction, prosthesis control with sensory feedback, and artificial intelligence applications in assistive technologies. Additional interests include virtual/mixed reality for rehabilitation, wearable robotics, and computational methods for behavior modeling.
