Ahmed Abdulla

Professor Ahmed Abdulla is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Carleton University, where he has been since 2020. His research focuses on energy system design for deep decarbonization, emphasizing disruptive technologies like energy storage, advanced nuclear power, and negative emissions. He co-leads the APEX research group, dedicated to accelerating global decarbonization through interdisciplinary engineering and policy integration. His work has been supported by grants from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and the MacArthur Foundation.
