Dr. Ahmad Z. Naser is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manitoba's Price Faculty of Engineering. He leads the Smart and Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing (S²↔AM) Lab, focusing on AI-driven manufacturing, sustainability optimization, and circular economy principles. His research integrates computational intelligence, IoT, and machine learning to create sustainable manufacturing solutions.
Education: B.Sc. & M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from American University of Sharjah (2009-2016), followed by a Ph.D. from the University of Guelph (2021-2023). Notably, he was nominated for the prestigious Governor General's Gold Medal. Before academia, he worked at NMDC Energy, a leading MENA energy company.
