Dr. Agota Debreczeni is a Lecturer in the School of Molecular Sciences at Arizona State University (ASU), serving since 2013. She specializes in General Chemistry education, contributing to curriculum redesign emphasizing active learning and student-centered instruction. Her roles include teaching and mentoring diverse student populations in courses like CHM 113, CHM 116, and CHM 114.
Education: Ph.D. in Inorganic Supramolecular Chemistry (University of South Carolina, 2012), M.S. and B.A. in Chemistry from Babeș-Bolyai University (Romania, 2006 and 2003). Prior to ASU, she taught at Mesa Community College and held teaching assistant roles at both universities.
Research interests focus on chemical education and inorganic chemistry. She has received the Joseph W. Bouknight Teaching Award twice, reflecting her dedication to pedagogy.
