Agnieszka Parol

Agnieszka Parol is an Assistant Professor at the Department of International and European Union Law within the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. She specializes in European Union institutional and substantive law, particularly focusing on the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (AFSJ), Union democratization, and decision-making mechanisms.

• PhD in Law (2016) with a dissertation on 'Decentralised Agencies in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice of the European Union'
• Master's degrees in Law and Administration from KUL

Her research intersects with EU migration policy, border administration regimes, and structural funds. She has coordinated the Ministry of National Education's 'Olympiad of Knowledge about European Integration' project (2011-2012).

Scientific awards include:

• Rector's Award (twice)

She is affiliated with the Polish Society for European Studies, MIGRA-TEAM research group, and the Polish Association of European Law.
