Agnes Andersson is Professor of Human Geography and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Lund University. She leads research on agrarian transformation, urbanization, and gendered livelihoods in sub-Saharan Africa, utilizing mixed-methods approaches across 15+ field sites.
Her current project, 'Explaining inclusive lower-level urbanization in Tanzania and Uganda,' combines household surveys, satellite data, and qualitative analysis to map development trajectories in secondary cities.
