Ageeth Rosman

Dr. Ageeth Rosman is a Professor at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, specializing in the field of Audit and Registration within perinatal care. She is actively involved in both academic and clinical domains, bridging education and practice. As a senior researcher at Perined’s perinatal audit section, she contributes to improving birth care quality through collaborative stakeholder engagement.

Education:

• PhD in Obstetrics (University of Amsterdam, 2014) on "Improving management of breech presentation at term"
• Master's in Midwifery Sciences (University of Amsterdam, 2007)

Research Focus: Ageeth’s work centers on enhancing perinatal care through audits, integrated collaboration, and interconception care strategies. Her research explores clinical midwifery practices, guideline adherence in obstetrics, and urban health influences on birth outcomes. She has led projects like HP4All (Healthy Pregnancy for All) at Erasmus MC.

Career Trajectory: Beginning her career in primary obstetric care until 2003, she transitioned to clinical obstetrics at Amsterdam University Medical Centre (AMC) and later at Erasmus MC until 2016. Since 2020, she has been affiliated with the Research Centre for Innovation in Care, teaching in the Master’s Physician Assistant Clinical Midwifery program and guest lecturing in the Bachelor’s Midwifery program.

Labs & Teams: Ageeth collaborates with Perined (perinatal audit/research organization) and the Midwifery Academy Rotterdam, a partnership between Rotterdam University and Erasmus MC focused on midwifery education and research.
