Her research explores female identity and cultural narratives, particularly through the lens of suppressed societies. Her seminal project, Women of Shahnameh, a multi-platform work combining painting, installation, and animated film, examines cross-cultural themes in Persian epic poetry. The project highlights underrepresented women’s stories from Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh, aiming to resurrect their historical agency.
Rahmanifar’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including solo exhibitions at the SOHO 20 Gallery in Brooklyn, NY, and the Three Rivers Community Art Gallery. She directed an animated film (Women of Shahnameh) and curated the Benevolence exhibition at the Tirgan Biennial Cultural Festival. She is represented by SOHO 20 Gallery and her art has been featured in Eastern Art Report Magazine and documentaries.
Her teaching philosophy emphasizes mentorship, with a focus on empowering students through research-based projects. In 2022–23, seven of her students showcased their work at the CREATE Conference. She advocates for internships and conference participation, fostering professional growth in her students.
