Adrián Lerner Patrón is a historian currently serving as a Philomathia Fellow in the Consortium for the Global South at the University of Cambridge, focusing on "Ecologies in Place," and maintaining inactive status as a lecturer and research associate in Global History at the Free University of Berlin.
His academic foundation includes a BA and Licenciatura from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, followed by MA, MPhil, and PhD degrees from Yale University where he participated in the Mellon Interdisciplinary Concentration in Humanities on "The technologies of Knowledge."
Dr. Lerner Patrón's research examines environmental, social, and political dynamics in Latin America through global historical frameworks, with current emphasis on Amazonian urbanization processes documented in his forthcoming book 'Jungle Cities.' His scholarly focus spans Environmental History, Latin American History, Urban History, Global History, Political History, and Social History.
His methodological approach integrates interdisciplinary perspectives on ecological transformations and urban development in tropical regions.
