Adrienne Selbie

Adrienne Selbie is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Queens University, affiliated with the Division of Palliative Medicine. She holds cross/joint appointments at the Translational Institute of Medicine (TIME) and other research institutes at Queen's University. Her primary roles include palliative care specialization and medical education.

Dr. Selbie completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Literature at the University of Toronto, followed by a Medical Degree from Western University. She undertook her Family Medicine Residency and Advanced Palliative Care Training at McMaster University.

Her research interests focus on existential well-being and distress in end-of-life care, palliative care for marginalized populations, and educational strategies for palliative approaches. She has practiced exclusively in palliative care settings in Hamilton, Brampton, and currently Kingston.

Her clinical and academic work emphasizes improving care quality for vulnerable patients and advancing palliative care education across healthcare systems.
